Archon records not only what a document is, but also where it came from, how it relates to other objects and what may be done with it. Authenticity, reliability and usability remain verifiable.
Once a document is final, Archon can prepare it for archiving and preserve an immutable record — together with its context, metadata and the decision itself. A pre-depot allows information to be examined and prepared before transfer to an archive or digital repository.
Archon can be deployed temporarily for clean-up, periodically for quality checks or continuously as an additional service. Afterwards it can be switched off again without a costly system migration.

Archon records relevant actions, rather than document content. Each action is linked to the digital identity of the person performing or responsible for it. Records can optionally be hashed, given a trusted timestamp and anchored in a public blockchain.
Durably preserved records and independent anchoring help keep process evidence verifiable, including during cyber incidents.
This also supports governance accountability: carefully recorded processes show which measures and decisions were taken before an incident.
